The East Cooper Center for Advanced Studies Career Center specializes in helping students identify career goals, improve job searching skills, and ultimately connect with local jobs and internships. The Career Center also helps pair students with local business mentors to enhance their knowledge and career opportunities. Our Career Center includes a lab in which students can learn more information about pursuing a college degree and career opportunities.

YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP ANNOUCEMENT!!!! 

Are you interested in learning about upcoming youth apprenticeship opportunities? Great! Click here to learn about the "learn and earn" career programs offered by Trident Technical College and the Charleston Regional Youth Apprenticeship program. This program is open to rising juniors, rising seniors and graduating seniors every spring.

The information session is February 3, 2024 at Trident Technical College in North Charleston!!! Session 1 - 9:00AM Session 2 - 10:30AM See you there!

Growing Minds Educational Farm is accepting volunteer counselors for the spring semester. Students interested in farming as well as working with animals and guests should sign up using this link.

Opportunity in Law Enforcement!!

Explorers is a hands-on youth opportunity for people aged 14-20 to get experiences, training, and an insight into law enforcement. Being an explorer makes it easier to schedule ride-alongs and be in contact with local police officers. You will be able to experience different parts of policing including but not limited to patrol, SWAT, K9, forensics and crime scene, CIB (detectives), traffic team, harbor patrol, and more. Mount Pleasant Police Department has the size and capability to offer an insight into different aspects of Law Enforcement. Explorers also gets your foot in the door for job opportunities such as Police, Community Services, Forensic Investigations, Fire, EMS, and more.
