How to Add a Class at CCSF

Adding In Person Classes

If you are interested in adding an In Person Class, try to register for it during the registration period. If the course is full, you can register for the waiting list. Students on the registered waiting list have priority in being added. For more information on the waiting list process, visit Waitlist Information. If the class and the waiting list are both full, the next step is to fill out a "class add request" in myRAM. CCSF is no longer using add codes and now requires that students submit a request. See instructions on page 22 in the myRAM Registration Guide.

Waitlisted Students (In Person or Online)

If you are registered for the waitlist, it is important that you regularly check your CCSF email address even before the course starts. If a student drops the course before it starts, and you are next on the waiting list, you will be offered the spot via email. You must respond within 24 hours confirming that you still want to add the class. If you miss this email, the next person on the waiting list will be offered the spot, and you will lose your place on the waiting list. For more information on the waiting list process, visit Waitlist Information.

Adding Online Classes

If the course is full, you can register for the waiting list. Students on the registered waiting list have priority in being added. For more information on the waiting list process, visit Waitlist Information. If the class and the waiting list are both full, the next step is to fill out a "class add request" in myRAM. CCSF is no longer using add codes and now requires that students submit a request. See instructions on page 22 in the myRAM Registration Guide.

Getting on the Waitlist/Add Request List is not a guarantee that I will be able to add you. Once classes begin, I add people, as openings become available. For online courses, students are not added according to registration date, but by the order in which they appear on the waitlist. If I can add you, I will invite you to add via your CCSF email account, so be sure to check that email account regularly and/or have those emails forwarded to your preferred email address. You must respond within 24 hours if you would like to add the course. Your invitation to join the class expires after 24 hours.
