Field Trips
3 permission slips are being sent home today for end of the year trips. Please have your child bring them back to me ASAP along with money due.
San Diego Zoo 5/31 - $10 turn in to me ASAP. Bring a sack lunch.
AMC 6/1 - $15 for ticket and kids snack pack turn in to me ASAP. Concession stand is closed so no additional money is needed that day. We will be back on campus for regular lunch time.
Park day 6/3 - $0 Free! Pizza and drinks will be provided. Students may bring picnic blankets or small sports equipment.
20 more days! It blows my mind how quickly the year is going. If financial circumstances prevent you from paying any of these costs, please let me know. The end of the year is going to be fun and memorable for all students! 😊
Cotillion Dance: Snack & Cash donations for decorations
Our wonderful team of parent volunteers are working to plan the Cotillion dance. They are asking for help in 2 ways: snack donations & cash donations to purchase decorations.

Yard signs are now available at the UPS Store in Eastlake (next to Rubios) for $20.

End of Year Testing
Monday April 25 - CAASPP state testing ELA
Tuesday April 26 and 27 - CAASPP state testing ELA/Writing Performance Task
Wednesday April 28 - CAASPP state testing Math
Wednesday April 29 - CAASPP state testing Math Performance Task
Students need a headset with a cord for the test. The school has a very limited number of headsets to lend out. Anything with a cord will do. Even the kind from Dollar Tree are fine.
Please make sure your child arrives on time each day, and avoid absences whenever possible

6th Grade Promotion
When: Thursday, June 2 @ 9:00 AM (Students meet in their classroom at 8:15 AM)
Where: Camarena Playground (Blacktop)
Guests: There is no limit to the number of guests, but there is limited seating so please plan accordingly.
Dress Code: All students should dress their best for the promotion ceremony. Please have your child wear their "Sunday Best" or "Business Casual" attire. A few guidelines to follow, which can also be found in the Camarena Dress Code are:
Students should have shoes which are safe. Nothing over a 1-inch heel is acceptable.
Jeans are not permitted. Students should wear dress slacks, dress, or skirt.
Hats, caps, and other head coverings are not allowed.
Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times. When hands are raised above the head, the midriff must be covered. Dresses must be no shorter than the thumb length when the arms of the student are extended at their sides. See through or fishnet fabrics, halter tops, off the shoulder, or low cut tops, spaghetti straps, bare midriffs are not acceptable.
Clothing should be free of any logos, writing, or pictures.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Camarena would like to maintain a respectful academic environment. Absolutely no posters, pennants, confetti or noisemakers will be allowed.
Balloons are allowed as long as they don't obstruct the line of sight of others sitting behind you.
The ceremony will not include a reception. You are welcome to make other arrangements, as your child will be dismissed once the Promotion concludes.
