Dear Monarch PK-8 Community,

I am pleased to share that we’re beginning the 1:Web Initiative here at Monarch! Beginning in March of 2019, each sixth grader will receive a Chromebook as a part of the 1:Web Chromebook Initiative. The Boulder Valley School District selected Monarch PK-8 to continue this important 1:Web Chromebook initiative as a result of our school’s current innovative instructional approaches and our thoughtful exploration of expanding learning opportunities within the classroom and beyond. Many of our students feed into Monarch High School where this initiative is already in place and seeing great success.

With the opportunity for individual web access, students will increase, expand collaboration, ask new questions, and create new solutions. The 1:Web Chromebook Initiative will further Monarch’s mission to create educated, engaged, empowered, and compassionate participants in a global society.
