Kindergarten
These first weeks of school are a huge transition for everyone, kids and adults. We will take it nice and slow learning classroom rules and procedures. We will get to know each other with some fun activities and focus on building relationships.
Below is a picture of me when I was in Kindergarten with sweet Miss Boone. I went to Troutville Elementary, which is a hop, skip, and jump away from Greenfield. She taught me how to share, count, and learn the basics of reading.
Be Brave–Be Bold–Have Perseverance
About me
I am 35 years old and starting my 14th year of teaching. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. My husband, Justin, works in banking and I have three children. My son Jack is a fourth grader, my daughter Andi is in third grade, and my other daughter Quinn will be 2 in October. We have a 4 year old dog, Izzy and an 12 year old cat Penny. I am finishing up my Master’s Degree in Teaching from Hollins University. I attended Roanoke College and Lord Botetourt High School. I love spending my free time at home and enjoy outdoor activities on the weekends. I am an avid sports enthusiast and spend Sunday afternoons watching my Pittsburgh Steelers play football. I also love to read, dabble in art, like to meditate, and play all the time with my energetic kiddos at home. One of my favorite times of the year is May, because my family and I get to watch lots of college softball. Go Noles!
