Tuition

$210 per student/instrument

Limited financial aid is available to those in need all year around. SMI’s goal is to offer all students the opportunity to participate in our programs regardless of their financial background.

All financial aid recipients must sign a participation agreement outlining program expectations and commitments.

ALL students are required to do a placement audition, even those requesting financial aid. Please refer to the program’s main page for more details.


Who can apply?  

The Camp is open to high school musicians  who have more than 2 years experience playing piano, violin, and cello.  ALL students are required to take a placement audition.

Please note:  participants are required to have their own instruments.

Current ACC students are welcomed to apply as well.

How to Apply?


Step 1–

To apply, please fill out this Online Application Form with a YouTube link to a 3-5 minutes video of your recent performance which demonstrates your best performance ability on your instrument.

Please note:  application deadline is March 31, 2023 at 11:59pm Central time.



Step 2–

Camp committee will meet and make admission decisions and assign students to groups and music.  Admission results will be announced by April 7, 2023 via website, email and mail.  


Every group will be assigned TWO (2) pieces–one piece from the standard repertoire, one piece inspired by Asian folk tunes.  Repertoire is carefully selected to both challenge and inspire participating students. Music will be assigned and distributed upon the acceptance.



Step 3–

Once accepted, students will need to make a payment (in installment or in full) by April 21, 2023 to secure their seat at the camp.
