Welcome to our classroom! We are so excited to be your teachers, and to work with you and your families to create an amazing year together!
We will use this site to communicate our classroom expectations, schedule, homework, and class activities. It will be updated on a weekly basis. You can also visit this site to see photos of your child in action in the classroom! If you are interested in volunteering in our classrooms, please refer to the volunteer tab above.
About Miss Hammel:
For her undergraduate degree, Miss Hammel attended Loyola Maryland, where she graduated with her BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the Maryland State Department of Education Additionally, Miss Hammel was highly involved in Campus Ministry and the Center for Community Service and Justice.
After college, Miss Hammel served in the Urban Catholic Teacher Corps, where she earned her Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Literacy, Language, and Culture from Boston College. She moved back to Baltimore in 2016 and has been teaching for five years!
Miss Hammel loves to travel, learn Spanish, run, read, and spend time with family and friends :)
