If you would like to make a donation to The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area on line, please go to www.cfhz.org  .  The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area uses PayPal® for secure online donations.  A Pay Pal® account is not required.

You will have the opportunity to designate a specific fund or request that your contribution be a memorial or honorary donation by clicking on the "Add special instructions" box on the "Review Your Payment" page. If no instructions are included, your gift will be added to the General Endowment Fund. A receipt for your contribution will be mailed by the Foundation. Thank you for your continued support!

Throughout the year, taxpayers can generate a total contribution to The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area worth approximately three times its actual out-of-pocket cost!

Here’s the way it works for individuals, couples, estates and corporations ...

The law permits a taxpayer to reduce Michigan income tax or Single Business
Tax liability by a credit of 50% of the amount contributed to a community
foundation, subject to a maximum credit of:

· $100 for an individual filing singly (for a $200 donation)

· $200 for a married couple filing jointly (based on a $400 donation)

· $5,000, or 10 percent of tax liability before claiming any credits, whichever is less, for a resident estate or trust (based on a $10,000 gift); and

$5,000, or 5 percent of tax liability before claiming any credits, whichever
is less, for tax payers filing Michigan Single Business Tax returns
(based on a $10,000 gift).
