Vocal Choir Opportunities

Vocal choir practice will be held on Sunday evenings, November 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 at 5:30pm before Bible study.

We will prepare songs for Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas for Zion worship
as well as the  2^nd Annual Faith in Action “Care” –oling fundraiser

Come and sing with us in the choir or support Zion singers at the “Care” – oling event.

Thanksgiving, Advent & Christmas Worship Services

Come Ye thankful people to the Wednesday, November 25 Thanksgiving Eve worship service at 7:30pm, which includes Holy Communion and special music.

Special Advent worship services themed “What Hope” will be held on Wednesdays at 11:30am and 7:30pm, December 2, 9, and 16.  
The theme “What Hope” is based on the new hymn What Hope in our new hymnal Lutheran service Book.

The Children's Christmas Service will be held on Sunday, December 20 at 10am during the regular worship hour. 
Children will tell us the Christmas Story in song and story.
Practice times to be announced.

There will be no Sunday School on Sunday, December 27, 2009.  
See you back in class on Sunday, January 3, 2010.

On December 24, Christmas Eve Services will be at 4:30pm, especially for families with younger children, and at 7:30pm, which includes a candle lighting while singing Silent Night.  
We will ask God’s blessings on the new year, 2010, during the New Year’s Eve Service, Thursday, December 31 at 7:30pm. 

Family Friendly January 2009 Event for Marriage

Do you want a thriving marriage? 
Zion members are invited to strengthen their marriage, help singles prepare for marriage, and encourage other married couples to feed their marriages by learning simple life skills for marriage at the Family Friendly “Marriage” event January 22 & 23, 2009 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Special guest speakers will encourage us to ‘”never underestimate the power of family.”
