All India Seminar on Ergonomics for Improved Productivity (November 21-22, 2009) EIP 2009

Ergonomics is a discipline that involves arranging the environment to fit the person in it. When ergonomics is applied correctly in the work environment, musculoskeletal discomfort and fatigue are reduced significantly.

Ergonomics intercession must be viewed in light of its effect on productivity as the ergonomics solutions will improve productivity. Reducing environmental stressors, awkward postures and exertions, result in trimming down the task completion time, thus improving productivity.
