ShitoKan, since its establishment in 1974 by Dr. Aiello, has devoted to helping each and every student realize their own personal excellence through learning the spirit of Yamaoka Tesshu ("Kensei" The Sacred of Sword of Japan) and practicing the traditional Japanese Budo. Classes are energetic and challenging, set in a supportive, encouraging and non-competitive atmosphere.
ShitoKan is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to reaching out to the community by offering a genuine and sincere program with the highest standards that will benefit both children and adults. The benefits of ShitoKan training are many and valuable.
Practice covers learning the ancient master's philosophies, reading and studying the history of Japan, authentic Budo practices (various self defense of with or without weapons), zazen (sitting and walking meditation), vowel and breathing training through reciting the ancient books, SportsFit fitness training, charity event for the community, etc.
Interested students are invited to a trial class and interview. ShitoKan offers Youth Academy and Parents Practice, and the Instructors Course.

Keiko (authentic training) are held by Kancho Dr. Aiello at new Hombu Headquarters Dojo (exclusive venue and not open to public). Please contact by e-mail info@ShitoKan.com should you desire to embark the training.
系東館は1974年、ドクター・アイエロにより設立されて以来、伝統武道(空手道・合気柔術・護身術・古武術)を通して剣聖・山岡鉄舟の精神を次代に伝えるべく、世界数カ国にて指導にあたっています。国籍を問わず四万人以上の青少年がその門をくぐり武道鍛錬のみならず日本の文化伝統に脈々と伝わる礼節・義・謙譲の美徳といった概念を学んできました。
武道を真剣に学びたいと思う生徒を募集します。部門は児童部(親子部兼ねる)と指導員養成部があります。
児童(親子)部・成人部：
児童部の対象は5歳から11歳までで、その親または保護者(成人)は男女・年齢・経験の有無は問いません。空手道と護身術の集中稽古を行います。「温故知新」の理の元、きちんとしたご挨拶・体操・呼吸法からはじまり上達に応じて空手の基本と型を学びます。入門に際しては簡単な面談があります。
日本語指導は米田昇平三段、佐藤陽子三段をはじめ系東館国際武道連盟より指導員認定を受けた資格保持者が担当します。
