- When you first visit the YPFP.org homepage, click on "Join Us" located at the top of the page.

- Email Address - please enter an address, preferably a personal address, that you can receive frequent emails at.
- Type of Membership Application - Unless otherwise notified, select "Affiliate."
- Branch - If you reside in Washington DC, London, or New York, please select that Branch. If not, please select "Global"
- Personal Information - Enter your full name and required information.
- *Note your full name will appear in the Member Directory but your phone number & secondary email address will NOT.
- Citizenship & DOB - Please enter truthfully for our records.
- Address - The address from where you currently reside
- *Note if this address does not match your Branch, your application may be returned*
- Professional Information - Please select the affiliation of your current employer or school and enter the organization name and your current title.
- *Note - This information will appear in the Member Directory*
- External Profiles
- Enter URLs for your Facebook, Linkedin Profile, Blog or any other
sites that contain information you feel would be important to the
Member Committee.
- Education Information - Please select your Undergraduate and Graduate Institutions if applicable.
- *Note - This information will appear in the Member Directory*
- Interests & Involvement
- Region & Subject Area - Please select appropriate Interests.
- Contribute to YPFP - Please select areas that you would feel you would be interested in contributing to YPFP in.

- Experience
- Please write at least ONE full paragraph that describes your
background and why you should be granted membership to YPFP. Please
limit to one paragraph but include as much information as you feel is
necessary.
- *Note - if you don't enter enough information, the Membership Committee may ask you to submit more information.
- Other Experience - Not required but include any other informatin as you see fit.
- Attended YPFP Events - If you became interested in YPFP after a particular event, please let us know

- If you are in a sensitive position and would not like ANY of your information to appear in our Member Directory, please select "Hidden".
- Click "Create New Account and Apply for Membership" - Your application is locked and wil be submitted to the Membership Committee. You will be notified when the Committee has made a decision.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do I have to apply to access the site?
No, if you'd like to access the basic features of the site, simply fill in your email address twice at the top of the application. A password will be automatically emailed to you. Please note that unless you apply, you will not be able to access many important features of the site, including the Member Directory, Groups, and the ability to upload content.
Can I finish my application later?
Yes, just click "create new account (without applying)". This will save your application and allow you to reenter it at later time. No information will be sent to the Membership Committee.
How do I get my password?
When you submit your application or save it, you will be emailed automatically with a password to use in the website.
I created just a username and password. How I submit my application?
Follow the above steps for updating your Member Information.
After I submitted my application, can I change any of the information?
No, after you submit your application to the Membership Committee, I cannot be edited. If you have received notification that you have been accepted as a Member, you can also edit your information by following the steps below.
Updating your Member Information
- Log-in using your YPFP.org User Name and Password
- Click on the My Account in the left navigation bar
- Click on the Edit tab under your Name.
- You can now update the following:
- Email Address
- Password
- Add a Picture - will appear in Member Directory
- Your signature - will appear at the end of any messages sent within YPFP.org
- Personal Contact Form - Allows you to set whether Members can contat you.
- After you update everything, click Submit at the bottom of the page
- Now click on the Member Information at the top of the page.
- Under Member Information, you can update ALL the information from your application.
- To update your Member Information, just click Submit at the bottom.
- *Note - updating this information will NOT affect your application or your membership status with YPFP.
