PolicyWe are deeply involved in a seemingly endless occupation in Iraq…Iran, developing a nuclear weapons program, is being portrayed as Public Enemy #1 in preparation for possibly another war…Pakistan, a nuclear power, is descending into chaos, with regular suicide bombings, assassinations, and assertion of martial law…Israelis and Palestinians have still not stopped fighting (do they ever?), and the two Palestinian territories, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, are fighting among themselves…Egypt is acting colder towards us…The Taliban is regaining power in Afghanistan, opium production there is up…I could go on and on.The Middle East is just one critical region of the world. The media stays so focused on the events there that we forget the security threat posed by North Korea, the economic boom of China, the rise of the Euro against the dollar, and the genocide in Darfur. United States' policy is clearly not working. How can we fix it? To answer this, we have created a number of pages on various nations and issues which deserve changes in policy. We provide a background and context, and then attempt to explain our recommendations. Young Sentinel
