Book Fairs are simple, low-pressure opportunities to provide books that your school's students will love to read. The School itself receives a very large percentage of the profits in the form of free books. Kathi can walk you through the simple process of setting one up. Typically, the school will announce the book fair a couple of weeks ahead of time. Kathi will provide a flyer you can send home to families. When the time comes, Kathi will set up a book table and will stay on site to help oversee the process. Students can be released from class to look over the books. Some teachers allow the kids to create "wish lists" to take home to parents. Parents can then come in before, during, or after school to look over the books and make purchases. Orders arrive within a few days, and the kids are usually very excited to get their own books. Usborne Books has very graciously agreed to contribute a very large percentage of the profits to the school in the form of free books, as cash, or as a combination of both--free books, though, are the best way to get the most bang for your buck. Teachers can then create their own wishlists for their classrooms or the school can choose its own books to add to its library. Usborne Books even has a great reading incentive program through which the students can earn their own free books and the school can get some as well. Contact Kathi to schedule a book fair. You will be amazed at how easy it is. | Testimonials |
