Fly Standby

The WFAC finishes filling the course with Fly Standby (FS) students under either of these conditions:

About "flying standby"

CPR and COVID vaccination are the same as for regular enrollment.

The fee is $90.

The FS student receives the notes and pretest at the same time as regularly enrolled students (up to 4 weeks prior to the course).

The pretest is due on the regular deadline (2 days prior to the course).

FS students are accepted beginning Saturday one week prior to the course.

The FS window closes at a date and time specified by the student (for example, Tuesday noon prior to the course).

FS students are subject to the same cancellation/refund schedule as regular students.

If the course fills and there are no late cancellations, the FS student is automatically fully enrolled in the next course at the same reduced rate.

If the WFAC offers enrollment in the next course and the FS student declines, the student forfeits the course fee.

Student rescuers pass a 'victim' on a rope litter through a simulated boulder field.
