Note: There will be no pit parking or track access after 3pm Saturday.
Trophies and Prizes: This event is part of the Vancouver Island Spring Series and the Victoria Motocross Championship Series.
- The Victoria Motocross Championship Series (VMCS) is a new series for 2009 for Westshore MX members (full & associate).
- The VMCS is a 6 races series (best 5 count) with 25K in prizes, you must be a Westshore MX member to qualify for these prizes (except for the Kawasaki new model unit credits)
- The VMCS series consists of the following classes:
- 50cc, 65c and 85cc (no separate age classes, they are combined)
- Ladies
- MX2/250F Junior
- MX1/450F Junior
- Open Intermediate
- Open Pro
- Youth and 25+ (under 30) combined
- Vet Junior/Master (30-39) combined
- 40 Plus
- Jackets for 1st overall in the series
Costs:
- Class sign-ups: $30 for your first class*, $25 for your second. All PEE WEE class are $25. Classes with payout are $30. (* 50% discount on your first class if you live in the Port McNeill area or had to travel to Vancouver Island)
- Gate: $8 for adults, $5 for 11-16 yrs., 10 and under free. Max. $25 for family. Westshore MX members (full & assoc.) are free.
- CMRC License: You must have a CMRC membership to race at this event. You can purchase a CMRC membership online or at the the track for $120. The CMRC does offer day pass memberships for $30.
- Westshore MX membership: You do not need a WSMX membership to race at this event however we encourage to become a member, [you must be a member to qualify for Victoria Motocross Championship prizes] have a look at the Prize section above for some of the benefits.
- Parking and Camping: Parking is free, limited camping is available at no charge.
- Discounts: Any off island or Port McNeill racers will receive 50% off their first trophy class (no discount for payout classes)
- Refunds: Riders that fail to finish their first moto can get coupon for one free sign-up at another WSMX event.
Rules: This event is a CMRC insured and sanctioned event. We recommend you make yourself familiar with the CMRC rule book. Any protests or other disputes will be ruled on by the VIMX.
Schedule:
- Online registration closes at 7pm on Friday May 8th.
- Registration is Saturday during practice (noon to 2pm) and evening (7pm-8pm) or Sunday morning (7am to 8am)
- Riders meeting at 8:15am
- Practice 8:30
- Racing 9:30
- Lunch around 12:30 for 30 minutes
- Awards 4:30 - 5:00
