Yes, we have moved to the Amazon computing cloud!  Yesterday evening, WeMeUs went live on Amazon - giving us on-demand access to more horsepower and storage, redundant servers, and a range of other resources that ensure we can scale smoothly as we grow.  The only difference you'll notice is better performance and a smoother experience. The Amazon move is part of a strategic partnership which we'll be talking about more in our blog next week, so stay tuned!
 
Our newsletter this month has a slightly different look and feel  - it's now being produced and sent through the Email Assistant.  If you're not familiar with how much time Email Assistant can save you, sign up now for one of our webinars - Tuesday and Sunday at 4:00PM PST, and Thursday at noon PST.
 
New and improved this month includes Email Assistant with new options - choose names, change "From" and add "Reply to" addresses - and a new Add Contact form that gives you a faster, one page entry, even with notes and reminders. Full details on all of these are below.

Site & Service Upgrades - Contact Detail, Add Contact and Email Assistant
 
Now that Email Assistant is integrated into the contact detail pages, you can leave an email you're drafting to update contact records, check on open leads or review groups and then pick up your email exactly where you left off.  The updated Email Assistant now displays names and email addresses in the address book picklists, making it faster and easier to find the contacts you want.  You can also specify the "From" name and provide a "Reply To" address.


A new Add Contacts was also released, including more of the data fields you asked for to provide faster, one page entry.  It also includes a new field "Followup Note" so you can add notes or a log entry and optional reminder, all on this one page. 
  
 
Finally, for members who are importing from ACT or Excel spreadsheets, two new headers for data are now supported. 
FF Notes - data in this column gets added to the Notes widget
Referred By - data in this column gets added to the Referred By field.

Tips on Using Email Assistant for Fast, Effective Networking Follow-up
 
If you just got back from a networking event with a handful of business cards, Email Assistant can help you follow-up in a fraction of the time!
 
1.  Use Add Contact to enter the people you've just met.  If you're in a hurry, just enter name, email address, company and any notes while they're fresh in your mind. 
2.  Go to Dashboard and New Contacts;  check the box to the left of each name that you just entered. 
3. Click on Email Assistant (top menu bar) and on the To: button, you'll see all of those names listed there.
4.  Draft a quick followup letter ("Hi Dawn, I really enjoyed talking with you at the XYZ event earlier this evening...". 
5.  Select Mail Type of Individual to personalize and send the same content to each person, or...
6.  If you have just a few more minutes - select Mail Type of Customized - the system will pause between each letter to let you add a couple of lines specific to that person.
