Attempts on Her Life
17 scenarios for the theatre

Attempts to describe her? Attempts to destroy her? Or attempts to destroy herself? Is Anne the object of violence? Or its terrifying practitioner?
Welcome Stranger and the Fringe Festival present Attempts on Her Life by award winning playwright Martin Crimp.
Anne is a terrorist, a victim, a femme fatale and an artist but what is her motive? Anne offers you a flash, a scenario, a condensed narrative – opposing the purest form of speculation against every event said to be real.
Attempts on Her Life is the standout event for the Fringe Festival. Theatre for a world in which theatre is dead. A pre-emptive exploration of terrorism, celebrity and spin in a political climate where everything is possible and nothing is real – except, of course, Anne.
