MEETING CANCELLED

Monday, August 30   6 P.M. Wasilla City Hall

Joint Meeting of Palmer and Wasilla City Councils to discuss library funding. KJ Martin-Albright, Wasilla Library Director has prepared a dynamite presentation on the history of this issue.

Why is it being discussed?  The Borough is nearing the time it plans to cut funding to the Wasilla and Palmer libraries, even though the Palmer and Wasilla Libraries provide library services to right at 80 percent of non-city residents.

What can we do as Friends members? it's really important to have a good showing at this meeting.  We will have to see what plan the cities propose and go from there.  It's really important for us to stay informed and involved regarding this issue.
