The Washoe County Central Committee, NOT to be confused with the Nevada State Central Committee, holds monthly public meetings to discuss Democratic issues, shape our county agenda, and conduct party business.

If you signed a request to be a member of the committee at the Washoe County Convention, you are probably on the membership list. 

Four meetings per year are business meetings at which only officially nominated members can vote. Eligibility is maintained by regular attendance at the business meetings. The next business meeting is March 3, 2009. Election of new officers, members of our executive board, will take place in April 2009.  

The Washoe County Democratic Party's Central Committee has vacancies at this time. The membership of the committee is based on the number of registered Democrats in Washoe County.  If you are interested in being a nominated member of the Washoe County Central Committee, please e-mail Executive Director Amy Curtis-Webber at ed@washoedems.org or call 323-8683 before Friday August 29, 2008.

The Washoe County Democratic Party wholeheartedly invites both new and long-standing members to participate in all aspects of party activities. Ongoing involvement in election and non-election years is the lifeblood of this organization. Being involved with business activities is a way to make sure we maintain our fantastic grassroots philosophy.
