Drivers Education

Getting your Utah driver's license is a process. Please look over the following information.

1.      First you must go to the Driver's License Divison (DLD) and get a Utah learner's permit by taking the written exam. (must be 15 years old)

 2.      You must have the learner's permit for at least 6 months before you can get your license. (unless you are18)

 3.       As soon as you have your Utah permit you must take the driver's ed class and simulator the sooner the better for everyone involved.

 4. To get into a class you must have a Utah learner's permit and pay the fee in the finance office $175. During the school year, you can bring the receipt to Mr. Bundy's room 218 or email it to him at casey.bundy@washk12.org to let him know what class you would like to attend along with a birth date and a phone number

Once you have your permit getting into a class is on a first come first serve basis. When the classes are full they are full, please don't wait until the last minute. There is also an online driver's ed class each quarter that you can sign up for.

During the summer or at any time during the school year, you can pay through your parent PowerSchool Account and email the receipt to Mr. Bundy at casey.bundy@washk12.org and he will put you in a class of your choice until the class is full. (click on the school year or summer driver's Ed tab on the top left of this page for the schedule)

During the school year, one class is taught after school and one online class every quarter. The Summer schedule will be out each year around March 31st. No Summer online class. Thank you!!     (Graduated Seniors Can Not do driver's Education)
