Learning from NSSE and BCSSE

Learning from NSSE and BCSSE

This presentation provided examples from two institutions of ways that National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) data have been used to measure learning outcomes: 1) between traditional undergraduate and accelerated degree populations; and 2) in comparison with Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE) results. Data have been used to strengthen program planning, improve curricula, and inform key performance indicators within a strategic plan.

Presenters: Janita Rawls, Dean, School of Business; Stacy Hammons, Director, Sociology Program, Fresno Pacific University; Halyna Kornuta, Director, Educational Effectiveness; Leanne Neilson, Associate Provost, California Lutheran University
