In Language Arts, we introduced, practiced and reviewed the letter /y/ and the letter /q/. We read our pre-decodable book “ The Quiz ”. Our high frequency words we reviewed were where, come, do, look, what, for, you, like, go, to, he, with, me, and here. We read the story “This Is the Way We Go to School”; Phonics story “Run Tim”and our student reader “Do Not Quit Quinn!”. We introduced and reviewed verbs and nouns in a sentence. The students also used the stories this week to learn /practice discussing the plot of a story.

In Math continued working on Chapter 12 counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's. The students will be learning how to count groups by 2s, 5s, and 10s to find the total number. They will solve problems by identifying and extending number patterns based on counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s.

In Religion we are working on chapter 16 God should come first in our lives. The students will discover that God is most important in our lives and we show that by acting as an image of him in all we think, say and do.

Happy Birthday to: Ryan Campbell (KA), Shirley Legaspi (KA), Kimmy Tran

Sincerely,

Terrilyn, Shelley, Jill, and Jeanne
