Fourth Grade
Today was our last class day for art. The results of your year-long training in perceptual skills (learning how to see what is really in front of you) were shown to everyone in class. You now have the original copies of your pre- and post-instruction drawings. Please keep them for your left brain to always have proof of your tremendous progress this past school year. I am proud of each and every one of you.
We will be having an Advanced Art Class in the 5th Grade this coming school year at 7:30 am on Thursdays. Permission forms to be signed by parents were given out that your parents must sign even if you do not plan on taking the class.
Please look at this website this summer for your pre- and post-instruction drawings.
Fifth Grade
Today was our last art lesson. It is my sincere wish that you have each learned a little something this year, especially how strong your left brain is. In order to balance your whole brain, please keep using the perceptual skills (seeing what is really in front of your eyes) that you have learned and practiced these last 2 years. Spending a little time each day, not talking, and just looking or drawing (using your right brain) is so important for your whole being. I wish each one of you a fantastic summer, love and happiness in your lives. Please don't forget the oatmeal and to pick up your paints in room 103 before the end of this school year.
