About me

When I was 8 years old, I realized I liked drawing.  Since then, I have been practicing, then studying, volunteering, and working as an artist.  When I discovered the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, by Betty Edwards in 1987, I began teaching as many people as I could, because that is when I knew that anyone could draw.  Learning to see and draw reality (Perceptual Skills) is what I teach.  My students not only learn to draw, but become better problem solvers, and think more clearly.

My daily routine includes drawing because I know how good it is for me.
I teach drawing because I know how good it is for YOU !

I live with my husband, Marty, and our dog, Bean, in New Orleans.  I have two grown sons, one lovely daughter-in-law, and one sweet granddaughter.  My Art Studio is located behind our home.
