| My name is Pam Begault. This is my second year teaching here at VOL. I also have 7 years of teaching experience in the Jefferson Parish School System. I began my teaching career as a 2nd grade teacher and then moved up to the middle school. I enjoy teaching Language Arts, especially the writing aspect. I am able to learn so much about my students through their writing. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Government/History from Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduating from SLU, I received my teaching certification in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans as a Graduate student. I have been married for 21 years. My husband and I have 3 children. My son attended VOL since Pre K-4 and graduated from here in 2006. My oldest daughter has attended VOL since Pre K-4 also, but now she has moved on to a high school setting. I still have my youngest daughter attending school here. Having been around VOL as a parent for many years, I am honored to have been chosen to join this wonderful staff. I have known from my first day of teaching that I had a calling to teach. I consider it a blessing to be teaching here, and I look forward to fulfilling VOL's mission statement: Inspiring Catholic Faith and Principles While Encouraging Academic Excellence. |
