NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 16th - 20th

    This week in Language Arts class the children will meet and greet Mr. B.  Mr. B has Beautiful Buttons.  In Math class the children will review the shapes circle and square, then they will be introduced to the triangle.  In Art class the children will work on a color coded bumble bee activity page and a color, cut , and glue birdhouse activity.  In Cooking class the children will bake cupcakes to celebrate November birthdays.  In small group Art class the children will continue studying the art of Pablo Picasso.,  In Montessori class the children will make either a Pilgrim hat, an Indian hat or a Turkey hat to be worn at our Thanksgiving Feast.  In Religion class  our Faith Focus will be Thanksgiving.

Below are some important reminders and information for the week:

1. The letter B,b homework page is going home today. Please have your child complete it and return the page to school by Thursday, November 19th.

      2.  On Friday, November 20th at 10:45AM the Thanksgiving Feast will be held in the Gym.  The $5.00 fee             was due last Friday, November 13th if you haven't sent in the fee please due so tomorrow.   Also, if you          have not signed up for the covered dish that you will bring please do so by Wednesday, November 18th.          This will be a great time to share with your precious little one.
        
     3.  With the weather getting coooler and the children growing please make sure that their extra set of                  clothing is both climate and size appropriate.  Please make sure all clothing is labeled with your child's              first name and last initial.

      4.  Please refer to the VOL school handbook for the appropriate cold weather wear.  The handbook may be            found on the school website:  www.vol.org.

      5.  The November Co-Op meeting will be held Wednesday, November 18th at 7:00PM.

      6.  No School November 23rd - 27th for the Thanksgiving Holidays.  School resumes on Monday,                           November 30th.
