4days until
Mickey Mouse's birthday!

All about your teacher!

I am very happy to be starting my 12th year teaching.  I attended school here at VOL from 3rd-8th grade, (Mrs. Levet was my PE teacher!) graduated from Immaculata high school and received my degree in elementary education from UNO.

I started out at St. Rosalie middle school and then moved to second grade at Visitation where I taught for 8 years before having my first daughter, Grace, in 2003.  In the years since she was born, I have subbed on occasion and also taught religion to middle school until the birth of my second daughter, Ava, in 2006.
I returned full time a few years ago.

During the summer I participated in a workshop sponsered by Title One, Jefferson Parish.  The workshop focused on many areas of differentiated instruction and provided many materials, examples and ideas I plan to implement in my classroom this year.

I will be married to Matt for 8 years this October.  We live in Terrytown and attend St. Andrew the Apostle church in Algiers.  Our oldest daughter, Grace will be starting Kindergarten at VOL this year!  We also have a younger daughter, Ava, who will be starting Pre-K 3!

In my class, you will learn very quickly that I love two things:  Mickey Mouse and the New Orleans Saints!!  I have been a Saints fan my entire life and am a proud season ticket holder!

Teaching at Visitation is like coming home.  It's like having another family.  I can't imagine teaching anywhere else!

This year I plan to bring out the best in my students and show them they are capable of doing more then they ever thought possible!  We will learn a lot together and also have a lot of fun, I promise!
