Even teachers enjoy being students! I participated in the following workshops:
- June 2 - June 4, 2009 - Curriculum Mapping Workshop - this was an informative session hosted by the archdiocese to introduce the concept of curriculum mapping; mapping will be completed throughout the year for our Mathematics curriculum; mapping is an essential component in showing what was taught throughout the year; this process will help to eliminate gaps and overlaps from year to year
- June 15 - 16, 2009 - INTECH 21S Workshop - this seminar introduced teachers to many types of products and web sites that can enhance learning and motivate students; topics included digital storytelling, using Jing and Blabberize, creating digital "poster presentations" using Voki and Glogster, adding widgets and Google applications; there was also a presentation on the copyright and fair use guidelines for teachers
