Notes:
-It
is very important to review the
class work that comes home with your child daily and go over any corrections.
When you get your child’s test folder, make sure
to go over all tests (especially Reading since the students read that one on
their own) and review any missed questions.
High
Frequency (HF) words cannot be sounded out, they must be memorized. They are tested every week on the Reading
Comprehension test.

Guidelines for Home Learning Assignments
Students will be expected to:
1. Complete all assignments in full
2. Complete the assignments neatly and to the best of their ability
3. Turn in all assignments on time
4. Make up any missed class and home learning assignments
Parents and Guardians will be expected to:
1. Prepare a suitable work space for your children
2. Read and clarify the directions of the assignment
3. Be available to guide the children and review the assignments upon its completion
4. Allow the children to draw and color their own illustrations for assignments with an artistic component
If, for any reason, your child cannot perform the given task on time, please make arrangements with the teacher as soon as possible. Students will have points deducted from their quarterly Homework test grade for missing or late assignments.
There will be at least one special project each quarter. This type of project will count as one test grade. Projects will lose a letter grade for each day late. Projects not turned in will receive a grade of “0”.
