Inspiring Catholic Faith and Principles While Encouraging Academic Excellence

Hello everyone!  I will be your 3rd grade teacher this year.  I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you. This is my second year of teaching at Visitation.  I am excited to be teaching at my alma mater.  Visitation is like a second home to me.  I am a graduate of Visitation, Archbishop Blenk, and Tulane University.  I have received a Bachelor's degree from Tulane University in Communications and Paralegal Studies and am now pursuing my teacher certification from Our Lady of Holy Cross College.  I am married to my grade school sweetheart, Raymond (who also attended Visitation).  My hobbies include reading, vacationing, cooking, the New Orleans Saints, and hanging out with my friends and family.  We also have a yorkie named Zoey.  She is our baby girl and we absolutely love her.  She keeps us very busy!

My philosophy as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own love  for learning with them.  I believe that each student is an extraordinary person who needs a trustworthy, cautious, and established classroom in which they can grow and mature as an individual.  My goals for this 2009-2010 school year include incorporating  a wider variety of learning activities that cater to different learning styles so that I am able to affect every student.  I have participated in a variety of workshops and plan to implement some of the skills learned into my classroom  this year.  We have alot of activities planned for our 3rd graders this year to offer them a funfilled and non-forgettable year at Visitation.  I am so excited to be back at Visitation and I hope to give my students the same experience that I had as a student here.
