Hello, my name is Connie Breaux, and I want to welcome all of you to a new school year!
I enjoy teaching very much, and am excited to be teaching Language Arts. My goal is to help my students understand and learn new concepts that will lead them to want to search and reach out to learn more and more. I hope to give my students incentives to want to accomplish many things each day, to become more creative in their writing and diligent in their work, and to create good and healthy expectations for themselves to help them achieve and give their best efforts at all time. I am looking forward to a great year! I want my students to enjoy coming to school each day and for them to realize that learning can be fun!
I am a graduate of Visitation, and it has been a joy for me to have had the opportunity to return as a teacher! I started teaching here in August 2004 as a 2nd grade teacher. I taught 2nd grade for three years, and two years ago, I moved to Middle School to teach Language Arts.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. I have taught for many years in grades Kindergarten through 7th grade and three years of high school. I also had the opportunity to have been an Assistant Principal for two years. I received my Master's Degree in School Administration from the University of San Francisco in California. Besides teaching, I enjoy reading, bike riding, fishing, traveling, and watching all types of sports.
