I am a graduate of Immaculate Conception and Immaculata High School. I graduated from Tulane University College in 2005, with honors, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies and Paralegal Studies. I am continuing my education by attending Our Lady of Holy Cross College. I started teaching Physical Education at Visitation in 2005, and the following school year I taught 5th and 6th grade Religion. I left VOL to teach 1st grade at Terrytown Elementary. While teaching in the public school system, I realized the importance of an education involving Religion and the values of a catholic education so I am ecstatic to be teaching
3rd grade at Visitation this year. I believe education is something you earn as an individual, and it can never be taken away from you.
We spend our lives constantly learning. Education can be challenging in this rapidly changing world. There are many methods to teaching since all students learn in different ways. Visitation is a very family orientated school.
I enjoy spending time with my nephew, Jude Steven DeJean (6 months) and my nephew and niece Nicolas and Savannah Smith (7 years old).
