ABOUT THE TEACHER

Hi, I am Ms. Bertoniere whom the students call Ms. B.   I would like to welcome all of my students and their families to 5th and 6th grade Science at VOL for this 2008-2009 school year.  I have taught in St. Bernard Parish Public Schools, Plaquemines Parish Public Schools, and in area Catholic Schools.  I received my Bachelor in Education from the University of New Orleans.  My having been displaced by Hurricane Katrina has seemed to be God's way of bringing me to Visitation of Our Lady School.  Even though, prior to the hurricane I lived in St. Bernard Parish and taught at Holy Cross High School I am no stranger to the westbank area.

I have a long haired chihuahua named Coco who is spoiled rotten, very pampered and loved.  My mother who is 90 years young and soon to be 91 lives with Coco and me.  I have many hobbies that I enjoy  such as fishing, gardening, sewing, jewerly making, crocheting, and painting.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child to achieve a positive and productive  2008-2009 school year.
