The above order is not necessarily the order in which the material will be covered.

The course outline is subject to change as time constraints may affect the ability to cover everything.

A major goal of this class will be the development of thinking skills, and of applying and inferring knowledge.
I expect the students to do more than just recall information.

Throughout the year the students will go to the science lab and perform activities.
The students will be expected to follow ALL lab safety and procedure rules.

The students must do the reading homework so they can be somewhat familiar with the topic and
be able to take part in class discussions.
Sometimes this pre-reading homework will involve the students taking notes that will be used for class participation.

The students will be given the notes that they need to study for test preparation.
The notes will be written on the board as we discuss the topics.
Copying of these notes carefully and accurately is very important.

Studying EVERY night is imperative.
