Athletic News

The Visitation athletic program is underway, and we wish all the coaches and players good luck throughout this year in all their games.  We will be hosting some home games, and hopefully many of you will be able to join us to cheer our teams to victory.  However, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines (handbook pages 12 - 13) when attending all athletic games.

·        Students and players must remain in their grade level aftercare room until dismissed over the intercom.

·        Students should remain in the area of the game.  For safety purposes, students should not congregate around the bathrooms or classroom facilities.

·        Team members as well as parents and spectators must exhibit qualities of good sportsmanship at all times.  School rules and consequences apply even at after school games.

·        Parents as well as student spectators must not talk to the coach or players during the game.

·        Transportation arrangements need to be made prior to game day.  Students are not allowed to use the office phone.  For your child's safety, when staying for games at VOL we ask that you pick him/her up by the Library immediately following the game.  Junior games begin at 3:30 and end at approximately 4:30.  Senior games begin immediately following junior games.  Occasionally senior games end after the 6 p.m. aftercare closing.  Parents, please be mindful of this when picking up your child.

·        Students in aftercare will have the option to attend home games if they are in 5th – 8th grades. These students will go to aftercare as usual and Mrs. Charlotte will have an aftercare staff member bring them to the game.  Younger students (K - 4th grades) can only attend games if accompanied by their parents.

·        Any student leaving school at the end of the day must return with their parent(s) if they wish to attend the game.

·        Students are not allowed to go to the neighboring businesses (handbook pages 12).

·        The athletic department may be selling drinks, pickles, and candy at all home games.
