Welcome to the Visitation of Our Lady Cajun Festival website. Cajun Fest, as we like to call it, is just about the biggest party
on the Westbank! The last full weekend in April brings thousands of
visitors to our school grounds for great music, delicious food, and more fun that your weekend should allow!
Nestled at the corner of Ames and Barataria Blvd in Marrero, Cajun Fest is the largest fundraiser that Visitation hosts each year. Proceeds from the festival fund the new multipurpose building, which is currently under construction. The building will provide our students with a state-of-the-art gymnasium, meeting rooms, and additional classrooms to bring our youngest pupils over to the main campus. An enormous number of people come together every year to put on this event, and we are very thankful for our volunteers and sponsors. Without them, Cajun Fest would never have come this far. It takes nearly a year to plan the festival, and while the last 2-3 months of planning are the most critical, it’s never too early to volunteer. We are always in need of booth workers, booth chairpersons, prize donations, construction workers, cooks, bakers, smiling faces and strong backs.
