I am very happy and excited to serve as the Librarian at Visitation of Our Lady School. I have been a faculty member at this school for one year. I come to this school with 30 years of experience as a certified K-12 librarian from the Louisiana Public School System. I enjoy sharing books with children and helping the middle school students learn more about the library media center and its offerings. Students in Pre K-6th grades visit the Library each week. Students in 7th and 8th grades will attend as a class through the Language Arts classes to enhance their classroom curriculum or for research projects. At present, the Library has 5 computers available for student use. Students have access to this technology throughout the day beginning at 7:30am. Students may use the media center for research and check book(s) in or out during this time. Our students also have the opportunity to use the Library media center after school until 3:30pm. |
