Order Your Easter Lilies and Palm PlantsWe are taking orders for Easter Lilies and/or 6 ft. Palms to adorn the sanctuary for Easter and Palm Sunday. Lilies are $12.00 and Palms are $25.00 and may be purchased in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Plants will be available for you to take home after the 10:45 worship service on Easter Sunday.

 PREORDER NOW THROUGH MONDAY, APRIL 6TH - PICK UP YOUR PLANTS ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18THSpring is here and it will soon be time to plant again! We have found a new, very large local nursery for our annuals and still have a reliable provider of herbs, perennials and organic and heirloom tomato plants. There are several new offerings and lots of colors to choose from. The pre-order form is available for you to pick up at the church and here for online viewers to print out and start planning your 2009 summer garden! Your pre-order form with payment must be received in the Church Office by Monday, April 6th. You can pick up your plants on Saturday, April 18th between 7:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Half the net proceeds of the plant sale will be donated to the VSCC Property Maintenance Fund and half will be donated to Safe Haven Family Shelter. If you have any questions or would be willing to help either on the delivery date (April 16th) or on the day of the sale (April 18th), please talk to Joann Reynolds, Leigh Ann Zirkle or Carla Lovell.Touring Local Faith Groups with Room 8Room 8 is continuing our tour of local faith groups with two upcoming visits. On Wed., April 8 we plan to attend a Lenten service at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (meet at Vine Street at 5:00pm). Wed., April 15 we'll practice meditation at the Padmasambhava Buddhist Center (meet at Vine Street at 6:30pm).
