Fair Trade Coffee House

The Fair Trade Coffee House is an evening of entertainment showcasing local singer/songwriters while  raising awareness about the plight of coffee farmers. By serving and selling Fair Trade Coffee, Tea, and Chocolate, we can educate our neighbors, impact the supply and demand for fairly traded products and live into our understanding of community.

Started in 2002 by the Vine Street Christian Church youth group, these events provide funds for community ministry opportunities. In addition to the annual work trip to New Orleans, the teenagers have committed to four additional areas of ministry. They include,
  1. Eco-theology
  2. the Coffee Industry and Fair Trade
  3. understanding and eradicating homelessness
  4. creating a place for adults with special needs.
Your $5 admission fee includes a night of quality entertainment, dessert, and a "bottomless" cup of Fair Trade coffee from Bongo Java Roasting Company, Nashville. Infant/Toddler care is provided!

This is a smoke-free, family friendly event.
