We split into two groups, led by guides dressed in colonial clothing. We walked around downtown Alexandria, with buildings dating before the Revolutionary War, and stopped by many to hear the ghost stories that took place in each one, culminating at an old cemetary in which lies an officer buried but whose gravestone was removed by the soldiers in the war. The history was great! Ask your child about the many interesting stories they heard.;-) Hopefully it doesn't make for a restless night. ;-)
