Colonial Williamsburg was a highlight for most parents and students on this trip. We were given the experience of stepping back in time to the colonial times in Virginia just before the Revolutionary War. Students were recruited and trained on shooting a musket in the militia, walked through jail cells, checked out the public stalks and whipping post, sat in both the upper and lower house of the capitol building, learned about doctors and medicine and surgery, and watched silversmiths in action. They got to listen about, watch, and BE part of our history. What a rich learning experience!
