At Aspen, we have a simple philosophy: focus on what we do best. This has served us well and enabled us to quickly establish Aspen Learning Centre as one of the outstanding Maths and Science specialist centres in Singapore.
By focusing on Secondary and JC levels, Aspen literally builds our centres around teenagers and young adults. From centre décor to communication channels (we SMS our students), we are intensely aware of the needs of our students and strive to strike a balance between learning and fun. We figure that happy students learn best and our track record has proved our point.
OUR TEAMThe team of subject directors assembled at Aspen is impressive and complete. With a subject director covering every Maths and Science subject, our students enjoy specialist-level teaching instead of a general one.
Ms Tay May Yin (Chemistry director)
A former PSC Teaching Scholar, Ms Tay spent 7 years in Raffles Girls’ Secondary (RGS) teaching science for students in the Gifted Stream.
Ms Poh Lay Eng (Physics director)
Ms Poh was a PSC teaching scholar and taught Physics at various secondary schools for 7 years.
Mr Chua Hwee Chong (Biology director)
Mr Chua holds an honours' degree in Biochemistry.
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
A key ingredient in our recipe for success, content development is always an ongoing activity at Aspen Learning Centre. Starting from the last quarter of 2003, Aspen Learning Centre has been introducing our content and resources to secondary schools in Singapore.
One year later, the same team designed and developed materials for the AspenPLUS programme, which caters specially to students from top secondary schools with Integrated Programmes.
Led by our various subject directors, our dedicated team of content editors is always revising our lesson materials to ensure our students receive only the best. |
