During the Fall 07'/Spring 08' semesters, we piloted a variety of Google applications. This website, our Youtube video, and the May 8th, 2008 Sunshine State TESOL presentation constitute our efforts to share what we have learned. During the past semester, we have utilized Google Docs (a collaborative document editor) in combination with Google Talk (a computer to computer phone application) to open digital office hours, and more students have knocked on our digital office doors in the last 4 months than on our actual office doors in the past year. Next semester we intend to make better use of Google Calendar to keep students better informed about classroom assignments and events. We also intend to pilot Google blogger in an effort to better engage Generation Dotcom students we have lost into the Generation Gap.
