Welcome to the USA Gunners 98 (USA Red 98) website. The Gunners are a competitive U12 soccer team that play up a year in the U13 Division 1 bracket of the Utah Youth Soccer Association, State Competition League. They are one of the top U12 teams in the state of Utah. This website is meant to be informative and fun for parents, players, relatives and friends.

Ryan Mitchell takes over as Gunners' head coach
Ryan Mitchell, long time coach for Utah Soccer Alliance, takes over the reigns as head coach of the Gunners, replacing Ahmed Bakrim who is taking over the girl's program in the same age group. A special thanks to Ahmed, for the friendship and the great job done with this group of boys. Ahmed will busy coaching a couple of new teams and will continue to be a key member of USA's coaching staff. Ryan comes to the team with a lot of experience and success in soccer. Ryan played collegiately for both BYU and Sacramento St., where he was the leading scorer all 4 years in college. Ryan played professionally for a few years and then settled into a duel career as an educator and soccer coach. Ryan recently led the USA Red 94 Boys to a 2nd place State Cup finish and Premier Division standings. He has a tremendous passion for the game and is truly a student of the game, always reading books, watching videos and improving his knowledge. Ryan is married to Heather Mitchell and they are currently in the process of moving to Herriman. |
