• Orientation Postmortem

  • Some were confused about the officer program changes.

  • We need to make the program flexible to what we observe about officer participation.

• Social Events

  • We won't be having laser tag this week.

  • Need to contact Kai for this Friday about a party.

    • Where is it going to be? Not sure.

      • Kai? Phillip? Jackie?

        • We have a preliminary “okay” from Kai, pending his roommate.

  • Game night before the party?

    • From about 7 to 9 pm. Party at around 10 pm.

  • Scavenger hunt? (But not a photo scavenger hunt)

    • A physical scavenger hunt may be considered.

  • Retreat

    • Looking around March 6-7. Between 3 pm on Friday to noon on Saturday.

      • Looking b/w just west of Austin or Enchanted Rock.

    • Roy will finalize this this weekend.

• Weekly Meeting

    • We need more females at our meetings.

      • How do we help increase this number?

    • What kind of interactive activity should we have?

        • A variety of puzzles may be optimal.

    • Samira has flyered and they are coming.

      • Details for this company event need to be added to the calendar.

• HR Maintenance

  • Is SIGFitness worth points?

• Dr. Lin & Dr. Alvisi will be giving a talk on grad school in March.

  • Nick is organizing this event.

• Office Supplies

  • We're running out of dry erase markers because people “borrow” markers and don't give them back.

  • Need to buy them:

    • Dry erase markers

    • Staples

  • Maybe we should hide “reserve markers”

    • A larger store of markers in the annex and a small store in the office.

    • Talk to UTCS about them maybe giving us markers.

• T-Shirts

  • Jackie updated Google Doc for the optimal distribution of t-shirts to buy.

• Dept Reimbursement Policies

  • We need to get reimbursement in about month. They will not reimburse ACM, they will only reimburse individuals.

  • This affects most types of food.

    • We hopefully will be able to get reimbursements for last semester.

  • Look at Nick's email to the SO's about what Tiffany's comments about reimbursement policy changes.

• Smartphone Group

  • They are working on smartphone applications.

  • We have included them on our calendar so that they can get coverage for their events.

• 101 Lecture

  • Fussell has not confirmed a date yet. Phillip is going to follow up on this.

  • Goal is to get 3 lectures this semester.

• Unpaid companies

  • Samira has an updated list of unpaid companies.

• Website

  • Spam stuff on forums is tentatively fixed.

    • We need to watch out for this in the future. (“They are defeating our captchas”)

  • forums/forum problem is not fixed yet.
