H1N1 Flu VirusTips

Common Sense Tips That Everyone Can Take Right Now:

  1. Cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and properly dispose of  used tissues.
  2. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
  3. Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
  4. If you get sick with flu, it is recommended that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
  5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. This is how viruses are spread.
Symptoms:
Fever greater than 100 degrees, body aches, coughing, sore throat, respiratory congestion, and in some cases diarrhea and vomiting.

Board Goals

1. Each student in USD355 will be provided appropriate and challenging learning opportunities resulting in increased student achievement as supported by comprehensive course and program offerings, an articulated curriculum which is aligned to the State Standards, and an inclusive professional development program on effective teaching practices.

2. Expand the opportunities to engage the community in improving student learning and supporting student activities.

3. Explore advancement placement courses and expand the dual credit offerings for high school students.
