Blondes are not traditionally asked to explain the use of nano-photolithography in computer processors. Becky Worley is trying to change that. Worley has been a tech reporter/producer since 1998. She is currently the technology contributor for ABC’s Good Morning America and a blogger/columnist for Yahoo! Tech. Her goal is to bring information about technology to as many people as possible, she says “Technology is becoming a lifestyle issue. It’s more than gadgets, more than computer viruses; it’s become a part of our everyday lives.” Becky
also dabbles in other science and tech related television jobs. She is
currently host of a series on the Travel Channel entitled Best Places to Find Cash and Treasures.
This modern day adventure show digs deep into paleontology, geology,
and gemology. But her part in the show has more to do with elbow grease
than serious science, "I think I got the job because I showed up at the
audition with a pickax. Nobody else brought their own tools." Becky started her TV career fresh out of college, working in news for
Seattle
's KOMO-TV. As the tech world began to explode, Worley left television
news to consult on web design and IT implementation for small
businesses. In 1998, the creation of an all technology network called
ZDTV pulled her back into television. http://www.beckyworley.com/ |
