Transfer of credits

What's and How's

Students who have earned tertiary level courses from any UP unit  or  universities may apply for a "transfer of credits".
Once your credits are reviewed and approved, that means you as a student do  not  have to retake these required subjects under UPOU.

Steps:

1) Fill up form from the Learning Center: "Application For Transfer of Credits"
2) Attach a photocopy of  your TOR.
3) If you earned your credits from other institutions outside U.P.,
    then attach course descriptions as well.
4) Bring along the TOR + the above docs and submit to OUR
5) Await for approval/ action: minimum of 2 weeks to 1 month.
6) If units were taken outside PE you need to await announcements

Important Reminders:
1) Only 50% of total amount of required academic units shall be applied for and approved. In the case of the AA Program,  a maximum of 30 units are allowed.

2) P.E. courses, CWTS and NSTP courses have automatic approval but these have to be inputed in the form above.

3) Credits earned from any U.P. unit will get automatic approval especially if course descriptions are similar.

4) Credits earned from non-UP units are subject to approval upon passing of Validation Exams.
