Paul
Okey passed away suddenly on Monday, February 25th. He had been working
in the woods at his home in Westfield, New York. He died doing
something he dearly loved.
Paul was Born in Akron, Ohio December 23, 1938. He received a Masters
in Education Degree from Adams State College in beautiful Alamosa,
Colorado, where he married his wife of 43 years, Carole F. (Groves)
Okey on August 15th, 1964. Our thoughts and prayers are with her now. The Okey's lived in Greenwich for more than twenty years, where Paul was a member of the
Greenwich Historical Association. He was on the Greenwich Town Planning
Committee and was a Committeeman for the Democratic Party. He and Carole were actively involved in the United Church of
Greenwich for a number of years. He is survived by his wife Carole and by his two sons, Brian W.
Okey and his wife Lizanne Porter of Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Alan R.
Okey of Troy, New York, his two granddaughters, Rachel P. Okey and Erin
P. Okey of Indiana, Pennsylvania and his sister Sara Ellen Okey of
Millersburg, Ohio.
